I guess my description of the weather in May 2010 would be...rainy! Nearly every day has been cool, windy and rainy. When Doug and I arrived at the cabin this weekend, this is what we found. Yep, about an inch of standing water. With the drain pipe hooked up to, well, nothing, we couldn't just push it down there. So it's wet n' dry vac time.
Mowed the lawn/weeds down by the water.
Here's what the cabin looks like now.
Doug continued to lay decking for the second floor.
Sandy held up the beams for him...
Maddie was in that weird "way" again, crying and finding shade for she and her baby (this time it was an empty water bottle) under the drenched sleeping bag strung from an extension cord doubling as a clothes line.
We are thrilled to find that there is a loon making himself available for our viewing and listening pleasure!
There's some beautiful Columbine
scattered around the property too.
This is a cool door to the amazing Brandon Auditorium. It is totally made of rock. I hear this is where a lot of the local meetings are held and where the water tower drips.
