Today is a very special day! It is Lauren's 25th birthday and Lauren is very special! Sandy had the pleasure of going to lunch with Lauren at
Crave in St. Louis Park - YUM!
We got to shop at Uber Baby and wander around Anthropologie and get ideas; not so much buy anything, seriously! I did find two cool napkins-I think I'll make a curtain out of one of them for above the kitchen sink at the cabin. And then I bought a package of thin wooden spoons that I think are really supposed to be for eating with and then are disposable. Not sure about their mission, but thought I'd give 'em a try-there has to be some funky use for them...hmmmm, maybe a wind chime. So, we had fun as usual, walking around being goofy and relaxed. I just love her!

| Here she is trying on a headband, which naturally made her think she was a mermaid! Of course! |

| She's got it going on at 39 1/2 weeks. Come on out little girl! |

We had nothing specific going on in the evening, and...well...knowing that the sheet rock had begun its ascent up our walls and ceilings at the cabin, we headed north on 94 just to see where it took us. Kind of crazy on a week night to do that, but, we're crazy! We loaded up the trailer (and by we, I mean Doug) and like Jed Clampett and Granny it was piled high and wide with the first round of stuff we've been hoarding to ultimately live at the cabin. Now it's moving in! We had two of the base cabinets for the kitchen, some of the kitchen chairs, three large area runs, a refrigerator that will go in the basement (free from Judy Bauley-thanks, Judy!), five of the doors, and a bunch of the light fixtures. What a sight we were! We also intended to lay the rosin paper over the floors before the primer was applied, so we brought that along too.
The only thing was, there was little room in the basement to put more stuff. Can't wait til we can move it all upstairs into its rightful places.
Ah, here it is, complete with empty cardboard boxes, lawn chairs, two refrigerators, a broken bread machine, tool belts, rolls of insulation and...ahhhh!
Then we got to look around to see the drywall progress. How exciting to see the rooms taking shape! We subcontracted with Olson Drywall to do our work. They had completed the upper level and most of the ceilings on the main floor, even the vaulted entryway! It looks so great!

| This is our bedroom |
| And the window overlooking the lake. We think we'd like to add a platform someday to raise this area up so we can sit in a chair and look out the window. That would be sweet! |
| The second bedroom upstairs-this window faces east and will bring in the morning sun! What a way to wake up! |
| We made the closet big enough to be a fun hiding place or fort! I already have some big denim pillows we can throw in there. I love it! |
| The lakeside window should bring in light from the south. |
| Looking up from the foyer, here's a view of the skylight and upstairs landing. |
| The skylight. Chris thought of changing the angle of the framing so that you could see straight out from upstairs too. Great idea! |
| The foyer and their fun rolling scaffold |
| Actually, they had a bunch of cool stuff laying around to play with |
| Apparently, this gun uses coils of drywall screws and shoots them in really, really fast! Cool! |
| We confiscated some of their empty screw pails; they looked perfect for playing at the beach! |
| We're not sure about the big yellow teeter-totter. I think the seats were broken off... |
Obviously, there was too much equipment and sheet rock lying around to lay the rosin paper out. So, we canned that whole idea. We're hoping that all of the sheet rock dust on the floors will protect it somewhat. Instead, we just cleaned up inside and hauled the garbage out. Because we did not rent a dumpster, the scrap pieces were thrown in the driveway. So, in the true Clampett style, we headed down the road with the trailer again packed with all our garbage!
All in all it was a fun way to spend a Wednesday night. We always enjoy a ride together!
