In an ongoing effort to stay within the totally unreasonable budget to build the cabin, we strive to find what we need for less money. On sale is required. At least 50% off is standard. Used is no problem. Thus…Craig’s List! I LOVE IT! I don't know whether to thank/blame Lauren or Kelly! Both are avid Craiginators and got me hooked!
Currently, each day begins with a look and a laugh! Granted, we have found incredible deals such as a bathroom pedestal sink with faucet for $50, a toilet for $30, the brand new 8 ft high Andersen double patio door with screens (which retails for $3500) for $650, all the foam insulation for the basement floor at about 40% off, two very specific-sized Andersen windows (newly-installed then taken out of a client's home after all windows were in...they decided they wanted terratone rather than white! Who does that?), our refrigerator and two drawer bases for the kitchen.
But not only are there great deals, there is great humor! Some postings are just hilarious! Here are just two of my recent favorites...Enjoy!
FREE--2 matching couches. (Elk River) I just had two total loser renters move out & they left two matching couches here. These couches appear to be new, but they smell like dirty azz. Maybe someone can give them a second chance by finding a way to get the stink out of them....
