Every day adventure...

Ok, so this is a bit of a story but it is so cool how things work out. Over the weekend we found some more materials on Craigslist that made sense to buy now, so I dug the trailer out Monday morning at 6am. It was buried in 18 inches of snow since we hadn’t used it for a while. I removed the front and back panels hoping the snow would blow out as I drove. It wouldn’t as it had melted some and now was bonded to the trailer. Each bump I hit seemed to knock some loose, so I tried to hit as many bumps as I could. I was hoping for a snow shovel to clear it out but it was unlikely that one would be close at hand now. After work I drove to a lumber yard in NE Minneapolis to load up 26 sheets of 2” foam board. Kind of a huge but light load. We need the foam board for under the basement slab, so this is early on in the project. I really needed the space the snow was taking up. As I parked in the lumber yard lot, there it was, not four feet from the trailer… an old snow shovel, just sitting there. You’d think it had been placed there for me. Hummm I thought…I could just…empty this out… 20 scoops later I was ready to load up the five foot high load of foam board. We’re having fun each step of the way…
