On Friday, September 17, tragedy struck Brandon. Our neighbor several lots over on the lake, Mitch Brethorst, a 35-year-old husband and father of three was killed in a work-related accident. He owned Brethorst Excavating company in Brandon and was working at a job site in Barrett when a large cottonwood tree fell on the cab of his backhoe.
Our hearts ache for his family at this terrible loss. We also just learned that his wife, Diane, is expecting their fourth child. This precious family will miss their husband and Daddy so. God bless them.
