And Besides All That...

While the cabin progresses - or not - life keeps moving along at home. When Spencer came to Minnesota, he didn't leave his wife and darlin' daughter in Texas. We were blessed to have them all here for a long weekend. On Saturday Kim attended the wedding of her cousin, Sarah, who coincidentally was marrying Derek, on old friend of Kelly's. So, Kelly and Chris were photographing the wedding and Kim was attending. So, with Daddy at the cabin with Doug and Kim at the wedding, that left Annie conveniently at home with Grandma! What a fun day! We talked and played all afternoon! Then Lauren joined us in the evening just in time for a beautiful walk in the park and bath time. Then Grandpa and Daddy came home from the cabin and we finally had some time to all hang out.

Sunday, October 3rd was also a very special day! We celebrated Lauren and Adam's baby girl due on December 12th with a family shower at Kelly's house. It was a great day of soup and snack and cake-eating, of burp-cloth decorating, of  generous gift-giving, of family loving and baby and Mama-honoring.
